An industry-led platform for sustainable aviation fuel. Bringing people, evidence and ideas together to inform Malaysia’s next steps — and a wider conversation across ASEAN.
SAF Malaysia is an industry-led knowledge-sharing initiative with a simple purpose: make sustainable aviation fuel easier to understand, discuss and put into practice.
We connect perspectives from aviation, energy, finance, research and public policy. From first-time learners to decision-makers, everyone should have access to clear explanations, credible evidence and the questions that still need answers.
Our aim is to build the understanding that helps Malaysia and ASEAN develop informed policy and practical pathways for responsible SAF adoption.
Independent questions. An informed path forward.
We support responsible SAF adoption while examining costs, benefits and trade-offs. Our role is to inform debate, with no allegiance to a single company, feedstock or technology.
One conversation a week. A wider perspective all year.
Throughout 2027, we’ll sit down with people shaping the SAF ecosystem — from feedstock to flight, and from policy to investment.

THE BASICS / 01
What is sustainable aviation fuel?
SAF is aviation fuel made from renewable or waste-derived sources that meets sustainability criteria. Its environmental value depends on how it is made and sourced.
Explore the basics
“Sustainable” is a standard to demonstrate, not simply a label. The feedstock, production process and supply chain all matter.
Our coverage will examine local supply chains, credible sustainability standards, affordability and the policy choices that can support adoption.
See the questions we’ll ask
How can demand grow responsibly? Which resources can be sourced sustainably? How can regional cooperation help? And how should costs and benefits be shared?
A new idea each day. A moment worth sharing. We’ll turn complex topics into accessible explainers and bring you the key clips from every weekly conversation.

05 / PARTNER WITH SAF MALAYSIA
What could your support make possible?
Help turn a complex transition into a conversation more people can join. Two ways to support credible, accessible SAF knowledge in Malaysia and ASEAN.
01 / PLATFORM-WIDELasting recognition
Initiative Sponsor
Put your organisation behind a year of knowledge — and leave a lasting mark on the initiative.
For organisations seeking a sustained association with SAF education and regional dialogue.
Permanent website recognitionYour organisation’s name, logo and profile link retained in the initiative’s sponsor acknowledgements.
Visibility across the 2027 programmeRecognition in agreed podcast, website and social publicity throughout the programme.
A story of shared purposeAn introduction explaining why your organisation supports wider access to SAF knowledge, clearly labelled as sponsor content.
A clear view of your supportAn agreed placement plan and a summary of delivered sponsor recognition.
Where would your organisation like to make a difference?
Let’s discuss your interests, timing and the most useful way to contribute. Placements, deliverables and availability are agreed in writing. Sponsorship does not include editorial control or a guaranteed guest appearance.
Let’s start a conversation.
For sponsorship, guest ideas and collaborations across Malaysia and ASEAN.
Initiative Sponsors receive a lasting acknowledgement on the initiative’s website. Campaign placements run for the agreed sponsorship period; the permanent acknowledgement remains separate from those placements. The exact location and wording will be set out in the sponsorship agreement.
Can we choose a topic or suggest a guest?
You are welcome to share areas of interest and suggest perspectives we should hear. The editorial team retains responsibility for topics, guest selection, questions and conclusions. Support is subject to editorial fit and availability.
Can we support more than one episode?
Yes. Tell us which themes interest you and your preferred timing. We can discuss support across multiple episodes while keeping the scope and recognition clear for each one.
What happens when we enquire?
Your email opens with the selected package already included. Add your organisation, interests and preferred timing, then send it to start a discussion. An enquiry does not commit you to sponsorship.
06 / BRING YOUR PERSPECTIVE
Whose voice should we hear next?
Meaningful conversations start with people who have something to share. Recommend a speaker or put yourself forward for our 2027 podcast.
NOMINATE A SPEAKER
Know someone we should interview?
Help us find the researchers, practitioners, policymakers and community voices asking important questions about SAF. A useful perspective matters more than a prominent title.
Tell us who they are, the question they could help answer and why their experience matters to the region.
Your experience could move the conversation forward.
Working on a solution, researching a challenge or seeing the transition from a different angle? Share the evidence, lessons and questions you would bring to an interview.
Include your area of expertise and availability for an in-person recording in Malaysia.
Both options open a pre-filled email for you to review and send. Suggestions are considered for relevance, evidence and diversity of perspectives. Selection is editorial and does not require sponsorship. Please obtain permission before sharing someone else’s private contact details.

08 / THE PRINCIPLES BEHIND THE PLATFORM
Trust is part of the work.
Industry-led means bringing expertise to the table. Credibility means asking independent questions and being clear about who supports the conversation.
01
Evidence before claims
Reference primary sources, distinguish facts from views, and make uncertainty and trade-offs visible.
02
More than one perspective
Seek voices across the SAF ecosystem. Explain differing positions without treating every claim as equally supported.
03
Transparent support
Identify sponsors clearly. Keep sponsorship separate from guest views, questions and editorial conclusions.
04
Accountable publishing
Date published content, link to supporting evidence and make substantive corrections visible to readers.
Our editorial commitments guide the 2027 programme.
